Ephemeral Paintings (2020-ongoing)
Process-based visual system using fluids, ink, plants, light, and live macro video projection.
Ephemeral Paintings is an ongoing audiovisual project in which images emerge from fluid processes unfolding inside a water-filled aquarium. Using inks, organic materials, and projected light, the work explores how visual structures can arise from the interaction between gravity, diffusion, turbulence, and density.
These material transformations are captured in real time using a macro camera and projected onto a large screen. Subtle movements within the liquid environment become immersive
visual landscapes, revealing intricate formations that evolve continuously as the system unfolds.
Rather than composing images directly, the work establishes a set of physical conditions in which images gradually emerge and dissolve. Each performance becomes a temporal painting, shaped by the unpredictable behaviour of fluids and the slow choreography of natural forces.
